Our two lead compounds, K8 (ocular implant) and K9 (oral), both inhibit inflammasome activation and the associated inflammatory cascade, specifically IL-1beta, IL-18, and downstream cytokines such as IL-6, TNF, and interferon-gamma. Three programs are currently active in the clinic. Four neurodegenerative programs are in research-stage development.
